Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2025

Welcome to Bermood. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bermood website and services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Bermood Inc., a company registered in Canada (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service.

1. Use of the Service

Bermood provides a news aggregation platform that collects, organizes, and displays news content from third-party sources. You may use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization or company, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are solely responsible for any activity under your account.

4. Intellectual Property

All content provided by Bermood, including but not limited to software, code, logos, user interface design, and branding, is the property of Bermood Inc. or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

News articles, headlines, and summaries remain the intellectual property of their respective sources. Bermood does not claim ownership over third-party content and provides appropriate attribution where applicable.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.
Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service.
Use any automated system (e.g., bots, spiders) to access the Service in a manner that sends more request messages than a human can reasonably produce.
Scrape or extract content from the platform without prior written permission.

6. Third-Party Links and Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and content that are not owned or controlled by Bermood. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party websites. Your interactions with third-party sites are solely between you and the third party.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. Bermood makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the Service or any content.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bermood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bermood and its affiliates, directors, officers, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or to Bermood.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
