    Trump offers Iran 'olive branch,' agrees to lift sanctions on Syria

    During his trip to the Middle East, President Donald Trump met with Syria's president on Wednesday in the first face-to-face between the leaders of those two countries in 25 years, announcing that he'll end U.S. sanctions against Syria at the Saudi Crown Prince's urging. He also extended an olive branch to Iran but only if it gives up its nuclear ambitions. He also NBC’s Peter Alexander reports for TODAY.
